17 metre long CPC bridge presented at Swissbau

70% less concrete thanks to innovative construction method

The Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) reports on a special construction method that shows that concrete structures do not always have to be massive and heavy. In collaboration with a long-standing research partner, CPC AG, the ZHAW was could realise an extraordinary work for the Swissbau trade fair in Basel (16-19 January 2024): A 17 metre long and 2.5 metre wide pedestrian and cycle bridge, consisting of seven CPC panels mortared together with a thickness of just seven centimetres, form the robust and highly sustainable bridge.
