The article marks the beginning of a series of publications and uses the research projects "Concrete Plant of the Future", "Laboratory Paver" and "ZweiFormStein (two-form block)" to show current trends and developments in the production of concrete products with block moulding machines. The projects illustrate the performance and complexity of machine use and operation.
